No minor miracle
“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” – Albert Einstein
The rational me says there’s a plausible explanation for everything in my world.
The spiritual me says there are more than a few things in life which can’t be explained by science or the natural laws of the universe.
We usually associate miracles with the dramatic: living through a natural disaster, surviving cancer, or ‘beating the odds’.
Less dramatic, yet still amazing, are many things in life which absolutely defy comprehension. I think of the fact that I have sent you this message (in some cases, from thousands of miles away) and that you you are able to read it, wirelessly, on a little hand-held device.
Is it a miracle or is there a perfectly logical explanation for it? Maybe both!
What I do know is that when I stop to think about such things – I am profoundly affected. I am in awe.
Maybe it’s time to start acknowledging miracles in places more mundane.
I think of the contagious nature of a smile
I think of hearing certain music that stirs me
I think of the smell of freshly baked bread
I think of the beauty of changing leaves in autumn
I think of the sensation of silence after a fresh snowfall
The possibilities are infinite.
Any little miracles happening in your life right now?
In this season of miracles I hope you take many moments to find that which is truly miraculous all around you.
Me thinks you will be rewarded everywhere you look.
.
Wishing you abundant joy and robust health!
