Back in the groove
It’s been more than a month since my last post; a long time for a guy who’s been posting weekly for quite a while.
For what it’s worth, I’ve got a hundred excuses: family trip to Florida, spending more time skiing this year than last (great conditions, by the way), doing more coaching and per diem work, and so on and so on.
I could also say my muse has abandoned me which would be true but it would be the lamest excuse of all.
Bottom line is that I simply got out of the groove.
So what does one do when the creative juices aren’t flowing?
If you’re like me, you procrastinate a lot.
Hey, it works. Many a day I convinced myself that conditions for generating another post would be better the next day. Ya, right!
OK, I knew I’d get back in the zone eventually.
But I had to remind myself that it wasn’t going to happen magically. I needed to stop waiting for optimal conditions and seize the day. You know, “carpe diem”.
The most perfect moments are here and now. No sense waiting until tomorrow; the best opportunities are right in front of us. How blessed I feel to have re-learned that lesson these past few weeks.
Consider me to be back in the groove, committed to sharing with you simple, yet effective ways to be healthy in the fullest sense of the word.
Here’s a link to an entertaining 3 minute video which will make you want to put your phone down and go outside and get some fresh air. Bet you’ll be singing along before it’s over.
